WARDOGS Closed Beta 02 Access and Key Guide
Check WARDOGS Closed Beta 02 dates, guaranteed preorder access, Steam Playtest waves, client status and the safest fixes when access is missing.
Check the official access route
Use the WARDOGS Steam store, not a third-party key seller. The current store offer says a preorder guarantees access to Closed Beta 02. The free Request Access button joins the Steam Playtest pool, but access from that pool is handed out in waves and is not guaranteed at a particular minute.
This is a closed beta, not an open beta. A public Playtest button does not mean every request is accepted immediately.

Use the current Beta 02 schedule
The official Steam store currently lists the beta from September 3, 2026 at 18:00 UTC through September 6 at 08:00 UTC. That is September 4 at 02:00 through September 6 at 16:00 in Beijing time.
Older posts and community replies may show an earlier September 5 end date. Use the store's current offer as the controlling public schedule and recheck it before planning the last session.
Find the correct Steam client
Open the Steam Library and look for WARDOGS Playtest after the entitlement arrives. Restart Steam once if the library state has not refreshed, then verify the account used for the preorder or access request.
Do not repeatedly submit Request Access or install an unrelated build. Capture the exact Steam message, account state and time if the Playtest still does not appear.
Diagnose missing access safely
First compare the current time with the official window. Next confirm the preorder or Playtest entitlement on the same Steam account. Then restart the client and check the official announcement or support board for a new incident.
Previous beta support posts documented region-selection and voice workarounds, but Beta 02 may not reproduce those issues. Treat an old workaround as a diagnostic lead, not a guaranteed fix.
Recheck after the FPS Games Show
BULKHEAD scheduled another major announcement for September 3 at 18:00 UTC, the same moment Beta 02 begins. This page therefore needs an immediate post-show review for access, schedule, client or launch changes.
The September 10 Early Access plan remains a separate event. Follow the release checklist for launch details rather than assuming beta progress, client files or server state carry forward.
